Prayer

Love Costa Mesa longs to see a thriving prayer culture in our city.

We long to see a thriving, unified culture of prayer led by every church in our city. The Christ following church has this commission; to pray that the kingdom of God come down, and to function together in unity as we work towards this goal. When we move and act together, as one body, His love is put on display.

We desire to see every corner of this city filled with ongoing, intentional prayer. We believe that this can happen through the unity of the Church. As we partner together in prayer and collaboration, we expect heaven to flow out of our city, and into our county, state and nation.

Our highest priority is to know God and to collaborate with Him in the advancement of His kingdom on this earth. We do this through prayer and social work that brings about wholeness for His children. Prayer is essential and indispensable. When we pray, we enter the stream of what God desires to do around us a through us. Prayer is our lifeline of communication and relationship with God.

Initiative Leader

Kayton is a catalyst for prayer in the city of Costa Mesa. He functions as a facilitator for prayer leaders in the cities efforts to build a prayer culture and movement, as well as an organizer for city wide prayer opportunities. Kayton began his involvement with Love Costa Mesa out of a pure curiosity for how the kingdom of God was unraveling in the city.

Kayton deeply desires to see the body of Christ function in unity, rallying around the most essential thing in life, Jesus and His work on the cross. He spends most of his time relating to ministry leaders, dreaming about the future of the collective churches in the city, administrating and organizing prayer opportunities and interceding in prayer for those around him. He is confident in the words of scripture, the promise that Jesus gave his people of a body of believers that functions in unity; “that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me.” (John 17:21)

He grew up in Temecula, CA after experiencing a few years of displacement and intense poverty with his family, who had recently immigrated from Mexico City. He cares deeply about the marginalized, and desires to share the power and friendship of the Holy Spirit with others. He also dreams of helping bind the creative community with the Christian community in the western world. He expresses his creative passion through his pottery and ceramic art. Kayton studied Theology at Biola University and became curious about how to integrate his view of our Creator, beauty and divinity with our creative nature.
